Description | The Espada Chair is a reproduction of the Globus Chair that was originally created by Jesus Gasca in 1994. The Espada Chair has already become a design classic, used in restaurants and public spaces around the world. The Espada Chair was recently installed as the seating at Santiago Calatrava's new pavilion at the Milwaukee Art Museum. The backrest and seat are made from smooth, curving pieces of beech plywood, molded to provide secure support, while the waterfall seat edge allows for comfort over long periods. The gently curved elliptical hole in the back of the Espada Chair serves multiple purposes beyond its unique design: It allows for additional ventilation, the alleviation of back pressure and it can be used as a handle for easy maneuvering. Attachments on the seat bottom prevent damage during stacking and plastic glides protect floors. Dimensions: 20"W x 21"D x 18"H Wood back and seat, with chrome frame Available Colors in Stock: Black, White, Natural Beech, Wenge, and Walnut | Shipping | Free shipping. Usually ships in 5-7 business days. Conway Freight, FedEx Freight, and UPS Freight are the preferred carriers for all shipments in the U.S. for this product depending on customer location. | | | | |
