Gordon Guillaumier Gordon Guillaumier (1966-)

Gordon Guillaumier was born in the Mediterranean island nation of Malta in 1966. Guillaumier went on to study economics and sociology at Reading University in England in 1985 and Industrial Design at the Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan in 1988. Guillaumier later obtained a masters degree in industrial design at the Domus Academy in 1992. Guillaumier started an important collaboration with Rodolfo Dordoni as product designer assistant after a brief apprenticeship with Baleri Associati. Guillaumier was engaged in a full-time collaboration with Driade which lasted from 1995 to 1999, working on the product strategy and development of Atlantide and Dstore whereby he assisted Enrico Astori with the art direction.

From 1998 he established himself as a free-lance in design management consulting and had a chance to work with clients such as Dornbracht bathroom interiors, Rational kitchens, 2Link silverware, Livit furniture collection and Elt kitchens. Gordon Guillaumier has designed products for Bosa Ceramiche, Elica, FontanaArte, Foscarini, Mito, Montina, Minotti, Varaschin and De Vecchi.Gordon's products have been presented at various design fairs in Milan, Cologne, London, New York and Moscow. His works are often reviewed in international design journals - Domus, Abitare, Modo, Interni, Elle Decor, Wallpaper and Design Russia.
