Lia Barstool

The Lia Barstool is a reproduction of the LEM Piston Stool inspired by Shin and Tomoko Azumi. The LEM Piston Stool was named Product of the Year at the International Interior Design Awards in 2000. The Lia Barstool's stainless steel frame and sculptural wood seat not only swivels, but also adjusts easily from a seat height of 19.5 inches in up to 31 inches with a lever that activates a gas cylinder. While utility strongly determines the form of this unique stool, it has a visual lightness that creates the illusion of freedom from gravity. The Lia Barstool is a contract-quality seat suited to both residential and commercial environments and can be used as a counter stool or bar stool.
