Designer of the new OFFI seating offering, the IDEA Gold award winning Steelcase Cachet chairs, Peter Pearce has placed himself in a class of designers that use relentless research and testing to prove out a concept, and invariably "discover" a new product, usually using unique materials or regular materials in unusual ways. The success behind the multiple patents and awards for Peter on the Cachet development bear witness to his genius.

Peter Jon Pearce holds a BS in product design from IIT's Institute of Design. He has worked in the office of Charles Eames, taught at California State University at Northridge and served as associate dean at the California Institute of the Arts, School of Design.
